Rolling Stones
When the "world's greatest rock and roll band" began planning its 2002-2003 Forty Licks World Tour, the band wanted not only to deliver their fans an amazing production at every stop, but a unique way to experience the entire tour. Thus was born Virtual Ticket, UltraStar's marquee service and most exciting contribution to the relationship between the artist and its fans.
With Virtual Ticket, ticket purchasers for every show become virtual roadies, with immediate access to a multimedia representation from every stop on the tour. The Rolling Stones employed Virtual Ticket on their following tour, the critically and commercially successful "A Bigger Bang" World Tour, and have seen its proliferation to other UltraStar acts, including David Bowie, Sting, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mariah Carey and more.
During our four year relationship with the band, UltraStar has joined the Stones in many of the industry firsts they've offered their fans.
From a unique presale system that allows fans to see their tickets before making a purchase - and later before purchasing the fan club membership required to take part in presales - to being the sole distributor of more than 20,000 tickets to the Stones' NRDC Benefit concert. Along the way, UltraStar has provided numerous services for the band, including international presale ticketing, DVD creation, sweepstakes management and marketing integration with regional promoters, record labels and sponsors.
UltraStar is looking forward to continuing its work with the Stones as their "A Bigger Bang" World Tour continues to traverse the globe.
